As a software company that provides open source technology, Red Hat prides itself in keeping things open. It’s this openness to change, innovation, and relationship-building that laid the foundation for our decade-long partnership. Every repeat encounter with Red Hat is one that never feels like we have created the same event twice! See how our many creative resources combine in the corporate event planning process of Red Hat’s annual Summit.

A Corporate Event Planning Relationship Built on Trust
For more than 10 years, Brite Ideas and Red Hat have partnered together to bring to life their most iconic annual corporate event. Ours is a familiarity that breeds creativity, and we repeat only what’s crucial to the branding of Red Hat. Consequently, this group effort has become part of the lifeblood of their conference events.

As our technology and team members change over time, we’ve also been able to offer new perspectives and ideas amidst our annual collaborations. This has led to our becoming the go-to choice for their various corporate event planning needs including the Red Had ONE conference over the years.
It is a unique opportunity to not only work with a corporate client year after year, but also to come alongside them in various capacities for different events. We take the foundation that’s already been laid and extend and deepen it within each year’s corporate event planning investment. The following is a summary of all that was endeavored for the Red Hat Summit 2024.

Same Event, Never The Same Collaborative Effect

This premier open source conference took place at the Colorado Convention Center, May 6-9, 2024. Thousands gathered at the Red Hat Summit to consider what it takes to shape the future of enterprise technology. Brite Ideas continually crafts engaging experiences for these IT professionals, customers, partners, and peers in attendance.

Red Hat Summit always fosters an environment of collaboration, where participants can exchange ideas, solve complex problems, and foster lasting professional relationships. Participation options for attendees included labs, networking, and a dynamic trade show floor with hands-on learning.
Ever since acquiring Ansible in 2015, Red Hat Summit has also incorporated AnsibleFest into the event taking a deep dive into the Ansible Automation Platform. There were many sessions and activities offered including keynotes, breakout sessions and hands-on labs to interact with the platform.

Building on the longstanding success of the Red Hat Summit, we filled the role of technical partner and event production team in cohorts with the ITA Group to create a truly extraordinary event. The ITA Group took the lead on project management overseeing client communication, budget oversight, and all vendor management.

Our team was responsible for executing and delivering two keynote presentations, over 80 breakout sessions, and trade show floor management covering the following services:

- Stage Design
- AV & Scenic Design & Management
- Labor Contracting
- Technical & Production Scheduling
- Show Management

Keynotes remained a cornerstone of the event and we enhanced this year’s to ensure both a memorable and immersive experience.
Corporate Event Planning Makes Way for New Designs

In our own corporate event planning relationship with Red Hat, we have closely worked with their internal creative team in various venues and cities. This year’s stage design reflected Red Hat’s core messaging of innovation, open-source collaboration, and community building.

The stage incorporated layered elements of LED screens and decking, adding visual interest with depth and height, complementing the sloped, vertical layout of the attendee seating. In line with Red Hat’s constant push for innovation, the stage design for this corporate event broke the traditional boundaries even of the Bellco Theatre itself.

The stage was transformed into an interactive canvas for Red Hat’s dynamic storytelling incorporating layered elements using LED technology to create depth and interaction. In blending traditional stage elements with immersive visuals, the stage was transformed into an interactive canvas.

The design fostered a sense of collaboration and inclusivity—mirroring Red Hat’s mission of uniting IT professionals under a common vision of technological advancement.
Overall, the results speak for themselves. Overwhelmingly positive attendee feedback confirmed the success of Red Hat, Brite Ideas and ITA Group’s efforts:
- 96% of survey respondents agreed attending this event was valuable for their personal and/or professional growth.
- 94% of survey respondents learned something that could help them solve a business challenge.
- 97% of survey respondents learned something that could help improve efficiencies for them or their business.
